Quick answer: Punta Cana on points in 2026

  • World of Hyatt has the biggest choice: Hyatt Ziva and Zilara, Secrets, Dreams, Breathless, Zoëtry, Hyatt Vivid and, since March 2026, Bahia Principe.
  • Marriott Bonvoy: adults-only Sanctuary Cap Cana and W Punta Cana, plus five Royalton-family resorts.
  • Hilton Honors: Zemi Miches, about 60 miles from Punta Cana airport.
  • IHG One Rewards (Iberostar) and Wyndham Rewards (Wyndham Alltra) are the other options.
  • Award prices move with demand, so compare the points price with the all-in cash rate before you redeem.

Compare cash rates before you spend points

Booking a Punta Cana all-inclusive with points is one of the best ways to stretch a hotel loyalty balance, because one award night covers the room, the meals and the drinks. The map has shifted: Hyatt now owns Playa Hotels & Resorts, Bahia Principe joined World of Hyatt in March 2026, Hyatt Vivid opened in August 2026, and Marriott added an adults-only W in Uvero Alto in 2025. Here is which resort belongs to which program, how earning differs from redeeming, and how to check award prices yourself.

We don’t list points prices for specific dates: every program now prices awards by demand, so any number goes stale within weeks. Instead, you’ll learn where to look and how to judge a redemption.

Punta Cana all-inclusive with points: which resorts qualify?

At the time of writing (November 2026), five loyalty programs have all-inclusive resorts in or near Punta Cana:

  • World of Hyatt: Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara and the Inclusive Collection brands (Secrets, Dreams, Breathless, Zoëtry, Sunscape, Hyatt Vivid and Bahia Principe).
  • Marriott Bonvoy: Sanctuary Cap Cana (The Luxury Collection), W Punta Cana Adult All-Inclusive and the Royalton resorts in the Autograph Collection.
  • Hilton Honors: Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton.
  • IHG One Rewards: participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts, including JOIA Bávaro.
  • Wyndham Rewards: Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana in Uvero Alto.

Single-chain clubs such as Riu Class, MeliáRewards or MyBarceló offer member rates at their own resorts, but they are separate programs and are not covered here.

World of Hyatt: the biggest choice in Punta Cana

Hyatt dominates points travel in the Dominican Republic: in March 2026 it counted 34 hotels in the country, 32 of them all-inclusive. Its all-inclusive brands take part in World of Hyatt, so you can earn on paid stays and redeem for free nights. Hyatt Ziva (all ages) and Hyatt Zilara (adults only) are Hyatt’s own labels. The Inclusive Collection adds Secrets and Hyatt Vivid (adults only), Dreams (families), Breathless (adults only, with a social vibe), Zoëtry (small wellness resorts), Sunscape and, as its ninth brand since March 2026, Bahia Principe.

What changed: Playa, Hilton La Romana and new Hyatt resorts

Hyatt closed its purchase of Playa Hotels & Resorts, worth about US$2.6 billion including debt, in June 2025. Playa’s portfolio included Hyatt Ziva and Zilara Cap Cana and the two Hilton La Romana all-inclusives in Bayahibe, which became Dreams La Romana and Secrets La Romana in 2025, so they now earn Hyatt points. New and upcoming Hyatt all-inclusives around Punta Cana:

  • Secrets Tides Punta Cana: 688 adults-only rooms in Uvero Alto, open since January 2024 (read our Secrets Tides Punta Cana review).
  • Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: the brand’s first Dominican resort, with 467 adults-only rooms in Cabeza de Toro, opened at the end of August 2026.
  • Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana: 406 adults-only rooms next to Dreams Macao Beach, with free-flow access between the two. First announced for 2026, it is now reported to be targeting March 2027.
  • Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana: a planned 650-room family resort with an adults-only building, expected in 2029.

Bahia Principe joined World of Hyatt in March 2026

On March 24, 2026, more than 20 Bahia Principe resorts (about 12,000 rooms in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica and Spain) began participating in World of Hyatt. Members earn 5 base points per eligible US dollar and can redeem at participating resorts. The brand now splits into Explore (families and groups) and Escape (adults only). Punta Cana names to know:

  • Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana (formerly Grand Punta Cana)
  • Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa (formerly Grand Turquesa)
  • Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine (formerly Grand Aquamarine, adults only)
  • Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda
  • Bahia Principe Explore Legend (formerly Fantasia Punta Cana)

How Hyatt prices all-inclusive award nights in 2026

Hyatt is the only one of the big three programs that still publishes an award chart. All-inclusives have their own categories, A to F, priced per night for two people. Since May 20, 2026, each category has five price levels (Lowest, Low, Moderate, Upper and Top) instead of off-peak, standard and peak, and a Category F resort can now reach 85,000 points per night on Top dates. Extra guests, including older children, generally add points, so price your exact occupancy. Paid stays booked with Hyatt earn 5 base points per eligible dollar plus any elite bonus.

Marriott Bonvoy all-inclusives in Punta Cana

Marriott covers two styles: high-end adults-only resorts and the big Royalton complexes in its Autograph Collection.

  • Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection Resort: adults-only, inside gated Cap Cana (see our Sanctuary Cap Cana castle suites review).
  • W Punta Cana Adult All-Inclusive: 340 rooms in Uvero Alto and the first all-inclusive W anywhere, welcoming guests since summer 2025.
  • Royalton Punta Cana and Royalton Splash Punta Cana: neighbors on Arena Gorda; Royalton Punta Cana guests can use Splash’s restaurants, pools and waterpark.
  • Royalton Bavaro: a big family resort (read our Royalton Bavaro review).
  • Royalton CHIC Punta Cana and Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana: the two adults-only Royalton options.

How Marriott award nights work at all-inclusive resorts

Marriott has no award chart: points prices follow cash rates and demand. At its all-inclusives, an award covers the package for up to two people, and Stay for 5, Pay for 4 applies to standard award stays. When we checked, Marriott’s all-inclusive terms excluded some award types, such as Cash + Points. Paid stays booked directly earn Bonvoy points and elite night credit.

Hilton Honors: one all-inclusive in Miches

Hilton’s Bayahibe all-inclusives went to Hyatt with Playa, so the Hilton resort to know in the wider region is Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton. It opened on June 30, 2025, with about 500 rooms, suites and bungalows on Esmeralda Beach in Miches, roughly 60 miles from Punta Cana International Airport (about an hour and a half by road). More than 100 ground-floor suites have private plunge pools.

Hilton prices awards dynamically. Its August 2026 guide listed Zemi Miches reward stays from 98,000 points per night, varying by date, room type and season, and the size of your party can change the points required. On standard room rewards, eligible elite members get every fifth night free, resort fees are waived on all-points stays, and Points & Money lets you mix cash and points.

Other options: IHG (Iberostar) and Wyndham

Participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts joined IHG One Rewards in 2023, with earning from June and redemptions from December that year. In Punta Cana that includes JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar, formerly Iberostar Grand Bávaro (see our JOIA Bávaro review), and other Iberostar resorts on Bávaro. Book through IHG’s own website, app or phone line to earn points and elite credit.

Wyndham Rewards members have Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana, the former Jewel Punta Cana in Uvero Alto, rebranded in 2025 (our Uvero Alto guide explains the area). Its operator, Playa, now belongs to Hyatt, so confirm the brand and award rules before you book.

Earning vs redeeming: how points work at an all-inclusive

Earning means collecting points on a paid stay, normally only on eligible rates booked directly with the hotel brand. Online travel agencies, wholesale packages and many flight-and-hotel bundles usually earn nothing and may not recognize elite status. Co-branded hotel cards add bonus points, and bank programs such as Chase Ultimate Rewards (Hyatt, Marriott) or American Express Membership Rewards (Marriott, Hilton) transfer to hotel programs at ratios that depend on your card and can change.

Redeeming means paying with points. An all-inclusive award night normally covers the room plus the standard food, drinks and activities for the stated occupancy, usually two adults, but not spa treatments, premium wines, motorized water sports, excursions or tips. Award nights also generally skip the 18% ITBIS and 10% service charge built into Dominican cash rates (see our taxes and tipping guide), so compare against the all-in cash total.

Pros

  • One award night covers room, meals and drinks for two
  • Most award nights carry no extra tax or service charge
  • Hyatt’s published chart makes prices predictable
  • Paid direct stays count toward elite status

Cons

  • Extra guests, including children, often cost more points or cash
  • Holiday dates price at the top of the range
  • Tips, spa and excursions still cost cash
  • Package and agency bookings usually earn no hotel points

How to check award pricing yourself

Prices move, so the only reliable number is the one you see for your own dates:

  • Log in and switch on points: Use Points on hyatt.com, Use Points/Awards on marriott.com, Use points on hilton.com, Reward Nights on ihg.com.
  • Enter every guest and each child’s age; prices often change with the third or fourth guest.
  • Use the calendar or flexible-dates view, then check the same nights in cash.
  • Work out the value: divide the all-in cash price by the points required and multiply by 100 to get cents per point, then compare with what your points are worth elsewhere.
  • Check the room type, club level, minimum stay and cancellation rules.
  • Book refundable award nights early for peak weeks; if the price drops, you can usually cancel and rebook.

Price the club level too

At resorts with a Preferred Club, Club Level or similar section, the extra points for the upgraded room are sometimes a smaller jump than the extra cash. Our guide to Punta Cana VIP club levels explains what each club adds.

Which program fits which traveler?

  • Families: World of Hyatt (Hyatt Ziva, Dreams, Bahia Principe Explore) or Marriott’s Royalton resorts.
  • Couples and honeymooners: Hyatt Zilara, Secrets, Zoëtry or Hyatt Vivid with Hyatt points; Sanctuary Cap Cana or W Punta Cana with Marriott points.
  • Hilton points holders: Zemi Miches, if a longer transfer and a quieter coast suit you.
  • IHG points holders: the Bávaro Iberostars, including adults-only JOIA Bávaro.

Our take

For most points collectors, World of Hyatt is the easiest way to book a Punta Cana all-inclusive with points in 2026: it has the most resorts and a published chart. Marriott Bonvoy suits W, Sanctuary and Royalton fans, and Hilton Honors works if Miches appeals. Whatever the program, check the points price against the all-in cash rate for your exact dates before you redeem.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you use points at all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana?

Yes. World of Hyatt has the widest choice, and Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards and Wyndham Rewards each have at least one all-inclusive in or near Punta Cana.

Are Bahia Principe resorts in Punta Cana part of World of Hyatt?

Yes, since March 24, 2026. Its Punta Cana resorts now carry Explore (family) or Escape (adults-only) names, such as Explore Punta Cana and Escape Ámbar. Check each resort on hyatt.com for award availability.

Are the Royalton resorts in Punta Cana part of Marriott Bonvoy?

Yes. Royalton Punta Cana, Royalton Splash Punta Cana, Royalton Bavaro, Royalton CHIC Punta Cana and Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana are Autograph Collection all-inclusive resorts, so you can earn and redeem Bonvoy points when you book through Marriott.

Do points cover children at all-inclusive resorts?

Award nights are usually priced for two people. Hyatt generally adds points for extra guests, Marriott’s all-inclusive awards cover up to two people, and Hilton says party size can change the price.

How many points do I need for a Punta Cana all-inclusive?

There is no single number. Hyatt’s all-inclusive chart runs from Category A to F with five price levels, up to 85,000 points per night for two at the top of Category F, while Marriott and Hilton price dynamically. Use each program’s calendar view to see the real price for your dates.
